Jealous Much?

Yesterday, I dropped Phil off at Alma's. There was a BABY there. Oh, he was so cute with those big squishy cheeks and that toothless smile! I told the baby I was just gonna take him home with me.

Philip did not approve. He got so upset, "Mommy! I don't want you to take that baby home!"

Last week I took him to a funeral and I got to hold my friend's little 15-mo-old girl. I held her for just a few minutes and then Phil came up behind me and grabbed on to me to remind me that HE was my baby.

Today or Tomorrow

The other day I had to leave to go somewhere. Philip started freaking out so I explained that I would only be gone a little while and would be back soon.

So he asked me if I would be back "tomorrow."

He was better after I told him I would be back later TODAY.

Poor Lil Dude ~ he's never going to forgive me for leaving him for those 5 days when we went to Texas.

I Missed Mom

My baby missed me while I was gone. I know because he won't let me out of his sight. At least, not without a fit.

Of course, he still has fits even when I'm around. Even more than usual. I think he's scared I'm going to run off and leave him again.

It's kind of sweet. But it's also really exhausting. Probably because I haven't had a chance to really sit down and relax yet since being home.

Random

Yesterday, I worked in the store all day from 10am to 8pm. Paula was with the kids all day and John was with them off and on all day.

So I finally get upstairs at 8:10 and everyone is at the table eating. Philip calls to me from his high chair, "Mommy, Mommy, hep me!"

I go get him out and give him a big hug and he's being so sweet.

Then....I have to put him down for a minute.

He. Had. A. FIT! Screaming, crying, then he wouldn't let me pick him up but he didn't want to be down. Seriously, it took him about 10 minutes to calm down.

I think the problem was that I've been home with them all week and, then, I wasn't. Perhaps he had been missing me all day and just didn't realize it until I got home?

Random fact of the week: When I feed him a banana, I only give him 1/2 at a time. He always turns the banana so he's eating the tapered end first. Always. If I hand it to him the wrong way, he will turn it around. It's hilarious.
